Same as plush wheeling. ———————— A dyers' term for a process in mordanting cotton. The fabric is saturated in a solution of metallic salts - squeezed to remove excess liquid and dried. Afterwards a design is printed on the cloth in acid discharge, with the result that after dyeing and clearing, white patterns appear on a ground of plain colour. The white parts are sometimes printed.
